A Machine Optimization Champion contributes to the success of Hartwig by generating opportunities to earn profitable sales of aftermarket products within an assigned territory. This requires an investment of time in strengthening relationships founded in continuous business improvement for users of machine tools. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on the Hartwig team to makes sure their machines are running at an optimal level. This is a great opportunity for someone who is familiar with machine tools and wants an opportunity to gain sales experience.

The main responsibilities of this full-time role based in either Kansas City, MO or Wichita, KS office location include:

Sells service offerings such as preventive maintenance, vibration analysis, ball bar testing general maintenance in order to keep customer machines running to factory specs.

Sells engineering offerings such as process development, productivity improvement analysis, and efficiency improvements in order to make customer machines more productive and profitable.

Sells upgrades and add-ons to enhance the machine tool such as LED lighting, surge protectors and preventive maintenance kits.

Calls on and schedules meetings with current and prospective customers to develop strong relationships with customers to successfully identify sales opportunities by understanding their needs.

Acts as the central knowledge base for machine tool optimization offerings.

Creates rapport with our Service Team to develop cross-functional relationships and sales opportunities.

The Skills

Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:

Related field and/or relevant sales experience required

Previous experience with machine tool service is helpful

Valid driver\'s license with the ability to visit customer locations required

Technical knowledge of service products with ability to educate customers in a professional and persuasive manner in order to sell solutions that support optimization

Previous experience developing sales territory helpful

Ability to \"close\" the sale

Proficient in Microsoft Office software required

Time management, strong organizational skills, positive customer service attitude, and strong verbal and written communications skills required

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities

Capability of working independently and following established processes
