Electrification & Automation

The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.

We are looking for a Supplier Manager. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

Overview:

The Supplier Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships and performance to ensure the quality and timely delivery of goods and services. He/ she works closely with internal teams to identify business needs and apply strategies that meet those needs while minimizing risks and costs. The Supplier Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve supply chain processes and implementing solutions to drive efficiency, policy alignment and ISO-9000 compliance. The Supplier Manager is also responsible for driving the digitalization of the company's supply chain operations. This includes identifying opportunities to leverage digital technologies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply supplier management strategies that align with business objectives and ensure the highest levels of supplier performance.

  • Evaluate suppliers with cross-functional teams based on quality, technical capability, on-time delivery, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness.

  • Monitor supplier performance against established metrics and standards, and take corrective action as needed.

  • Support regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and legal, regulatory and sustainability requirements and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps

  • Work with suppliers to develop improvement plans and track progress against them

  • Provide regular updates on supplier performance to key stakeholders

  • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes compatible with ISO-9000 systems

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the supplier performance management process

  • Identify opportunities to digitalize supply chain processes including supplier communication

  • Work with cross-functional & IT teams to implement digital solutions to optimize supply chain operations

  • Provide training and support to supply chain teams on Procurement process, digital tools and technologies

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and resolve any issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to supplier management and supply chain process digitalization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in supplier chain management, procurement, or a related field with a focus on ISO-9000 compliance & digitalization.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, project management and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to supplier management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supplier management software/tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to travel as needed (5-10%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medium voltage switchgear.

  • The pay range for this position is $72,400 - $124,100. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
