CACI is seeking an experienced Tier II NOC Engineer to support a 24x7x365 enterprise operations center. The Tier II NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring network dashboards, analyzing problems, troubleshooting escalated incidents, coordinating, and reporting all operational information concerning the enterprise network infrastructure. The successful applicant will serve as an on duty and on call technical resource to resolves complex issues and to support staff.

The Tier II engineer will work one of various shifts between 6am – midnight, Mon – Fri. **Must be flexible and able to be on-call when scheduled.

The work location for this position is the Nebraska Ave Complex (NAC) in Washington, DC, currently with telework authorized with a signed telework plan agreement. The candidate must live in the National Capital Region (NCR) commuting area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia area) and be able to commute to the NAC when required.

More About the Role

  • Provide subject matter expertise for LAN, WAN, firewalls, and other network technologies.

  • Train junior NOC engineers via knowledge transfer and creation of knowledge articles.

  • Investigate and diagnose incidents to restore failed network services as quickly as possible, ensuring all steps or appropriately documented in the ticket.

  • Lead root cause analysis and suggest resolutions for network infrastructure problems.

  • Installation and support for remote access platforms such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix

  • Assess and implement Change Requests as needed in accordance with the Change Management process.

  • Work with vendors to resolve issues when required (RMAs).

  • Notify Govt Leads, Watch Officers, and other stakeholders of high impact/priority failures using the appropriate escalation procedures.

  • Should be able to determine rather an incident or service request should be generated.

  • Performing Layer 2 to Layer 3 Site Upgrades

  • Able to perform task according to teams SLAs.

  • Must be able to follow standard operating procedures and job aids.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ experience in a related field (Equivalencies include High School Diploma/GED + 14 Years’, or Associate degree + 12 Years’, or a Master’s degree +3 Years’ experience)

  • Router maintenance, switching, router experience and related protocols.

  • Has working knowledge of following tools: HPNA, Spectrum, ServiceNow, CAPAM, CAPM, Splunk, Grafana or similar tools/platforms.

  • Previous experience supporting Palo Alto firewalls (configuring, troubleshooting, etc.)

  • Previous experience supporting Blue Coat proxies (configuring, troubleshooting, etc.)

  • Previous experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting Zscaler (configuring, troubleshooting, etc.)

  • Previous experience with SDWAN

  • Previous experience with LAN to LAN VPN.

  • Desired Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, ITIL Foundations, Security +, Azure Fundamentals, AWS

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$64,400 - $135,100
