Job Description
The Technical Services Developer works closely with the Software Product Analyst and customer(s) to ensure that requirements are clear and concise for projects ranging from one-time data imports to recurring data imports. Additional responsibilities include writing custom code to solve customer requests for the Infinite Campus application. Examples are custom reports, transcripts, and report cards. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, can work individually or in small teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively communicate with customers. Must be legally authorized to work within country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B) now and/or in the future.
Job Responsibilities
Create custom code to adhere to designs supporting customer requirements
Research, investigate, and fix a wide range of technical issues related to customer projects
Importing customer data from a variety of formats and third-party systems into the Infinite Campus application
Analyzing customer data, prioritizing information, and resolving data conversion issues
Scripting automatic recurring custom database updates
Estimate level of effort for individual work
Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Technical Services tools and scripts
Access Infinite Campus production customer data and production data in public test adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines
Fulfill other related duties as assigned
Desired Background
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field; OR three years software development experience
Experience with technologies such as Java, Groovy, SQL, Spock, Grails, JavaScript, and Angular
Experience with complex extract, transform, load (ETL) processes, emphasis on converting data from multiple sources
Expertise with relational database applications, emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with enterprise applications and complex data structures
Effective communication and presentation skills
