Job Description

Renesas is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to fill the role of Director of Product Management for the Performance Core product line. The Performance Core product line, part of the Performance Computing Power (PCP) division, develops high‑performance digital multiphase voltage regulators for the AI, server, cloud infrastructure, networking, telecom, computing and graphics markets.

This newly created position provides a unique opportunity to shape and streamline the product management role in the team. This position owns the entire life cycle and roadmap of power stage products in the Performance Core product line. You will establish the portfolio vision, lead product definition and manage products from cradle to grave. You will drive interactions with engineering teams, lead customer discussions, develop go-to-market strategies, identify new markets, and work with cross-functional teams to ultimately bring to the market best-in-class power management products.

This position is located in Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the power stage roadmap. Define a product strategy, portfolio and roadmap for targeted applications spaces such as AI, servers, networking, telecom and computing among others. Ensure alignment with market demands and emerging trends.

  • Work with applications engineering, design, product, and test engineering groups to develop, bring to market and support products throughout its lifecycle.

  • Prepare market requirement documents and business plans for new product concepts and proposals.

  • Manage the new product development funnel. Develop KPIs to monitor the health of the funnel.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the new product development engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Stay abreast of technology trends in the cloud infrastructure and computing space to drive informed strategic decision-making. Develop recommendations and competitive feature set to keep our portfolio at the cutting edge through continuous improvement.

  • Drive the develop of best-in-class product documentation, including customer presentations, training material, product errata's, application notes, etc.

  • Assist in the development of Go-to-market plans with clear market assessment, competitive analysis, and positioning of products.

  • Collaborate with other product managers in the division to define products that can combine with others to form an integrated, end-to-end system solution.

  • Manage pricing strategy, quotes, and cost structure for assigned products.

  • Develop compelling sales material that clearly promote product value and differentiation. Work closely with business development teams to secure new business opportunities and close design-wins.

  • Ensure power stage products are included in key reference designs in the ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • BSEE or related fields with 10+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or related roles. MSEE or MBA is a plus.

  • Understanding of power management applications and products.

  • Experience in data center, servers, telecom, networking and/or computing markets.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • High energy, self-motivated, and go-getter attitude.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to present complex concepts in a clear, concise and effective way.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with teams located in multiple offices around the world. Ability to be personable and drive process changes. Experience with driving change that resulted in positive outcomes.

  • Ability to collaborate and be effective in a fast-paced environment.

  • Track record of successfully managing and launching products, driving revenue growth.
