The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter School to Work Mentor in Utica, New York

What does a School to Work Mentor do?

Mentors provide one on one career exploration services to caseloads of 10 - 15 students with a wide range of disabilities. Some responsibilities may include going to various different school districts to meet with students, taking students on college or job tours, assisting with short-term internships, and much more. Mentors ensure students are prepared to leave the high school environment with the necessary supports in place to succeed in the work place!

Pay Rate

  • The starting salary is $21/hour

    Schedule/Hours

  • Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM. No evenings, weekends, or holidays!!

    Qualifications

  • Experience working with people with disabilities preferred

  • Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Associate's degree or higher
