What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Junior Data Labeler/Data Annotator, you will be working closely with the SAFFIRE Mission Operations and Computer Vision Development Team to support the retraining of computer vision models by identifying and labeling objects on image data. This position plays a large role in developing training data for Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) capabilities. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who are able to create high quality labels for large amounts of data. Candidate will learn about and identify complex and specific categories of equipment and mission objects. They will also coordinate and support decision making based on factors of categories to make for a higher quality models for analytic use. You will be a key member of the team, where the rubber meets the road, doing work that matters for some of the U.S. Government’s most critical missions, and supporting the development of Enterprise AI/ML capabilities.

More About the Role:

  • Work with large amounts of image data to identify and label objects

  • Work with a team of high qualified individuals to coordinate quality control and data capture efforts

  • Assist with the retraining of computer vision models by identifying and marking objects on imagery

  • Draw and adjust boxes around objects of interest on imagery

  • Coordinate and help make determinations about visual similarities in objects of interest

  • Track and collect metrics for data labeling activities

  • Candidate will be provided training on labeling tool and instruction on how and which objects in a scene should be labeled

  • Candidate should be comfortable working on a computer/ looking at a computer screen all day

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret Security Clearance, preferably a Top Secret SCI with a current polygraph

  • High attention to detail

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working on computer systems including opening and running applications, tabbing between windows, and basic data entry

  • Must be comfortable working by themselves

  • Ability to follow directions and follow quality control standards

  • Have a basic understanding of imagery and ability to discern image artifacts

  • Ability to work in a SCIF full or part time located in Sterling, VA or Springfield, VA

  • We are open to both part time or full time

  • No programming experience is required

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in intelligence analysis, GEOINT or some other -INT discipline, specifically imagery analysis

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$43,900-$87,800
