POSITION SUMMARY

Located just 11 miles away from our St. Louis headquarters, the Nestlé Purina Support Center provides custom, business-critical support to our markets across the globe. Through the fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly of NPP proprietary and trade-secret equipment, the Support Center helps push us to the front of the pack as a leader in the CPG industry. Are you ready to deliver the best? As a Production Planning Specialist, you will develop and maintain the weekly production schedule for NPSC. You must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be a self-starter.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administration of the production schedule to include:

  • Utilize SAP and other digital tools to create and maintain production schedule.

  • Create, update, modify, and delete work orders.

  • Review and analyze labor on prior jobs to determine planned hours.

  • Monitor scheduled maintenance tasks to optimize performance.

  • Set-up and maintain Functional Locations (FLOC’s) for technical objects.

  • Provide AMM and SAP reports as requested by the Production Manager.

  • Work with Manager/maintenance personnel on equipment maintenance.

  • SAP parts creation and monitor MIN/MAX levels.

  • Serve as AMM Functional Expert.

  • Obtains and screens each work request to see that requester has provided the required information (i.e., name of requester, work requested, priority, equipment ID, date submitted, date wanted, charge account). Challenge work request priority based on knowledge of production, management direction and production expectations.

  • Generates and monitors short and long term 801 MRP orders (production parts).

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ year’s production scheduling or reporting experience

Other

  • SAP experience preferred

The approximate salary range for this position is $62,000 - $86,000 a year. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
