Interacts and works closely with the general public to gather fisheries-related data, provide information and/or conduct outreach. Responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities. Operates boats, motors and other fisheries sampling equipment. Fabricates special equipment needed for fisheries projects. Completes routine administrative paperwork. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. NOTE: This position is for a technician in the TPWD Inland Fisheries office in San Antonio. The candidate chosen for this position will spend their time in the field conducting fisheries surveys on major reservoirs, small impoundments, and rivers and in the office assisting in the repair, maintenance, and occasionally fabrication, of equipment. The San Antonio office is responsible for managing fisheries in the San Antonio and South Texas areas including Lake Amistad and Falcon Lake, which have consistently been nationally recognized by B.A.S.S.
