Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

• Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct the critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test, and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies, and materials.

• Works independently to perform complex and critical inspection processes, requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.

• May conduct first article inspection of parts and assemblies.

• Prepares and approves inspection reports, charts, and records regarding quality measures, conformance status, and quantity of material processed.

• May lead to the root cause evaluations and corrective actions utilizing quality tools.

• Prepares charts and simple statistical analysis.

• May place orders of consumables and small tools for department use

• May be assigned to ensure designated area meets 6S standards and to submit equipment maintenance requests"

• Validation of Purchased products.

• May require to perform source Inspection at local Vendors.
