We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

Committed to the safe and reliable transportation of people and goods by rail and road, Siemens Mobility designs and manufactures across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. In the U.S., Siemens is providing rail vehicles, locomotives, components, and systems to more than 25 agencies in cities such as D.C., New York, Boston, Sacramento, San Diego, and St. Louis.

Responsible for commissioning, solving, and repairs on next-generation light rail, locomotives, and coaches. Need to be familiar with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on light rail, locomotive and coaches

  • Troubleshoot, document, and repair electrical and mechanical failures

  • Work with innovative dialogistic test equipment.

  • Understand and align with company and industry safety standards.

  • Connect with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information.

  • Able to work independently and among a team with multi-disciplinary backgrounds.

  • Read, interpret, and understand written or electronic schematics.

  • Use PTU’s to solve various systems onboard light rail, locomotive, and coach vehicles.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • High school diploma (or GED)

  • 3+ years experience in electrical testing.

  • Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting
