The primary focus of the Manufacturing Engineering position is oversight of and ultimate responsibility for manufacturing capability, continuity, and improvement for production lines (incl. processes, new products, capital expenditures, cost saving measures). High level targets will consist of reduction in injury rates, improved first pass yield, improved on time delivery of product, increased productivity and higher inventory turns and individual targets focusing on lean manufacturing centric projects, production line support, new product introductions/changes, etc. This position will report to the Focus Factory Manager. This plant is a part of Siemens Industry, Low and Medium Voltage.

· Supporting the production lines in terms of Safety projects and hazards elimination to ensure the Injury free workplace.
· Working with Quality Engineer to implement the corrective actions to ensure the First pass yield of the product lines are maintained at 96% or more on daily basis.
· Implementation of continuous improvement projects to improve the productivity and delivering the products on time to achieve targets of 96% or more on daily basis
· Implementation of cost saving projects, achieving the targets of $250K per year in savings.
· Developing the systems to reduce the inventory discrepancies and working with Materials group to improve the inventory turns.
· Creating the requisitions for indirect materials required for different projects.
· Creates and maintains productivity measurement system and scorecard
· Responsible for continuous improvement (CIP) teams and projects for multiple production lines
· Implementation of 5S on production lines
· Working with contractors and vendors for projects implementation.
· Managing the priorities and utilization of resources efficiently
· Working with cross functional teams Engineering, Customer services and Finance to achieve plant goals.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
2 + years experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer.
2 + years experience in process improvement / lean manufacturing methodologies
AutoCAD (for Layout only), ERP software
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and organizational skills, and ability to learn on the fly.
Superior skills in attention to detail and managing priorities within strict timelines.
Responsive with a sense of urgency to ensure project continues to move forward.
Strong relationship management skills and capable of establishing respect and credibility through actions, communications, understanding and personal presence.
Ability to maturely handle confidential issues with discretion and diplomacy.
Ability to work independently as all as in a team environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Proactive at executing daily tasks and achieving long-term goals.
Passionate commitment to the company vision.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.
3-5 years manufacturing engineering experience in Electrical distribution products manufacturing.
