In this role, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. This position is for candidates who can lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. Key responsibilities

• Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

• Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

• Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners

• Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

• Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations

• Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

• Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation

• Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

• Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

• Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll Requirements - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

• Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• CPA/MBA preferred

• Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience

• Month end closings experience

• General ledger experience desired

• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
