It is an exciting time to join our company's Global CardioMetabolic & Respiratory Team, as we build an industry leading (CMR) business and aspire to impact cardiovascular disease on a global scale. We have made significant progress advancing our broad pipeline this year. Additionally, we expect eight approvals across our broad cardiometabolic portfolio in the next five years. The Cardiometabolic business is a top corporate priority and expected to be a key growth driver for our company.

The Director of Global Marketing for a first-in-class treatment will be responsible for supporting all commercial elements related to late-stage development and launch success for an asset projected to reach $6B in revenue. This is a business-critical role that will be instrumental in helping our Company build a leadership position in the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension/Pulmonary Hypertension (PAH/PH) therapeutic category and contributing to establishing cardiovascular as a key growth driver for our Company. This role reports to the Global HCP & HCC Marketing Lead Exec. Director and will collaborate broadly with cross-functional partners to support enterprise-wide commercialization preparedness. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is a rare disease with a high morbidity and mortality impacting patients and their loved ones. Despite a multitude of approved therapies, unmet need persists and there is widespread consensus among payers, clinicians and patients that more treatment options are needed to improve the management of this debilitating disease. Our Company’s ability to make a meaningful impact on this disease for patients and their loved ones will be influenced by the leadership of this role.

The Director will play an important role in supporting the commercial transformation and leadership of our launches, including new ways of working, embedding advanced analytics, evolving the commercial models and building value for patients, payers and healthcare professionals.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Map the patient journey in collaboration with HHDDA and key markets to identify roadblocks that delay diagnosis and optimal treatment according to guidelines; and activate new innovative solutions to accelerate the journey.

  • Drive the deployment of strategic initiatives to accelerate the patients’ diagnosis journey, by addressing roadblocks at scale with AI, data/analytics and innovative partnerships. This is inclusive of defining the operational details of strategic initiatives, ensure execution in coordination with Regional and Local stakeholders and allocating appropriate resourcing.

  • Develop strategies and initiatives to drive earlier optimal treatment (i.e. Monotherapy patients) and enable rapid identification of patients that are not treated according to guidelines. This is inclusive of supporting the development of the initial strategy, create analytical approaches (including AI tools and techniques) to identify patients in coordination with HHDA and coordinate with Regional and Local stakeholders to ensure execution.

  • Set up a governance model that centralize multiple innovative activities and identify opportunities to scale up and drive impact in collaboration with HHI and Key Markets.

  • Drive top-down alignment across the enterprise and create the narrative to communicate the impact of accelerating the diagnosis journey.

  • Create a consistent and rigorous KPI framework that can track the acceleration across all launch markets.

  • Embed the commercial perspective and patient insights within the development program and with cross-functional teams to create a profile and commercialization model conducive for launch success.

  • Act as a key member of a first-in-class treatment Global Commercial Team and collaborate with Regional Commercial Leaders, international markets and cross-functional partners (medical, policy, outcomes research, access, advocacy, etc.) to optimize the value of a first-in-class treatment.

  • As a member of the global marketing team and cross functional leadership team, partner with Cardiometabolic Global Marketing Colleagues to invest in each other’s development, build a culture of inclusivity, speak-up and stretch our collective team’s thinking by challenging the status quo for the purpose of creating stronger outcomes.

Position Qualifications:

Commute/Location:

  • We offer Hybrid Work Model (combination of 3 days In-office & 2 days offsite/remote). This position cannot be 100% remote.

  • Applicant must have ability to work from our Headquarters sites in Rahway (NJ) or Upper Gwynedd (PA) with up to 25% Travel (including International).

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Required - Bachelor's Degree

  • Preferred Advanced Degree (MBA)

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience across marketing, sales, market access or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries (and at least 5 years demonstrated in-line marketing experience required.)

  • Executional Excellence: Ability to identify clear priorities, align stakeholders and frictionless execution of value-added outcomes for our customers.

  • Challenging Status Quo: Ability to push past internal obstacles to drive initiatives forward.

  • Prior launch experience preferred.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:

$181,600.00 - $285,800.00
