The Work

As a Project Engineer, you will:

• Facilitate events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value, communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk and drive improvement

Please Note: : This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin, as well as obtain a Special Access Program U.S. government security clearance within a reasonable time after starting the position. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

The selected candidate will serve as a Project Engineer on the Pilot Training Devices (PTD) Operational Baseline (OB) team.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a Engineering or Computer Science discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• Cost Account Management (CAM) experience

• Experience in Project Execution or Program Management; supporting programs or projects to achieve their cost, schedule, and technical goals.

• Previous experience with generating metrics-based Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support

• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)

• Previous Risk & Opportunity Management responsibility

• Highly proficient with MS Excel to include advanced functions

• Experience developing and executing program and project plans

• Experience using JIRA Issue and Project Tracking Software

• Active Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

• Strong organization and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to proactively manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Demonstrated effectiveness in task definition, planning and organization

• Control Account Management Certification

• Agile Software Development Experience

• Understanding of System, Software, and Hardware Engineering processes

• Demonstrated experience providing status and program deliverables to customers

• Complete Program Lifecycle - Experience on Development and Sustainment programs

• Ability to multi-task and support multiple internal efforts simultaneously

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
