JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse - Telephone Triage CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-ExemptPROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Central Nursing IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Nursing Support Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures appropriate medical care is provided to individuals we support by working cooperatively with fellow RN’s to perform skilled nursing duties. Provides direction and assistance to direct support professionals. Provides clinical oversight to med certified staff in medication administration and communicates and enforces medical policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education, Training & Experience:Current New York State Registered Nurse licensePreferred Education, Training & Experience:One (1) year nursing experienceExperience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and reliable transportationAbility to work flexible, non-traditional hours and be responsive to on-call demandsAbility to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the people we supportEffective communication orally and in writingAbility and willingness to provide effective instruction and demonstration to staffSALARY:$34-$40 per hour depending on years Licensed$7,500.00 sign on bonus paid over 2 years
