Sheffield Pharmaceuticals Buyer - Purchasing Team in New London, Connecticut

*Key Responsibilities: *Purchasing of raw material, parts, service, and supplies Review proposals, select and recommend suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery terms. Understand and consider different levels of complexity in quote packages and evaluate proposals accordingly Communicate with suppliers, to assure products are delivered at the requested time. Monitor the production schedule to ensure product is procured on time. Report on supplier backlog and delivery performance Manage inventory levels to ensure staying within budgeted levels Maintain database, and perform data entry related to purchasing Qualifications: Minimum High School diploma At least 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent understanding of inventory management, production scheduling, and purchasing. Ability to function well in a high-demand, fast-paced environment. Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Must have experience with and be proficient in ERP systems, SAP preferred.
