Quality Machined Products Honing Operator - 2nd shift in NEW KENSINGTON, Pennsylvania

*Quality Machined Products and Manufacturing is looking to hire a 2nd shift Honing Operator at our facility in New Kensington, PA.  *

 

SUMMARY:

The Honing/Production Worker will setup and operate a honing machine to hone internal surfaces of metal parts, such as cylinders, bearings, and connecting rods to specifications.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and maintain machine production
  • Loading work piece into fixture for honing
  • Adjusting feed rate, spindle speed, length of stroke, and depth of cut
  • Measuring finished workpiece with instruments such as fixed gauges and surface finish tester
  • Read blueprints
  • Perform manual machining operations such as drilling, buffing, stamping, tapping, etc.
  • Operate and run the MSO (Multi Secondary Operations Machine)
  • Perform finishing operations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

     

     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
