This course covers the modern and contemporary histories of visual culture including architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, and cinema in the Islamic world. Special focus on Arabic, Turkish, and Persian spheres.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
PhD in Art History or related field; PhD students in the post-qualifying exam stage are encouraged to apply; students with an MA may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Teaching experience familiarity with Canvas, Rutgers' Learning Management Software, helpful but not required
