The Opportunity
The Program Manager will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of assigned projects within the Defence industry, ensuring financial and performance targets are met.
The role involves reporting on project status, managing program delivery, fostering stakeholder relationships, and driving program outcomes with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for assigned projects, ensuring financial and performance targets are met.
Define, manage, and execute the program to achieve successful delivery of individual projects.
Provide analytics on project status
Foster and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Attend and hold relevant customer meetings as required.
Act with a high degree of autonomy and personal accountability for program outcomes.
Apply extensive project management experience to mentor and coach
Apply an understanding of the ecosystem into which the program is being delivered to identify and lead change initiatives to achieve overall outcomes.
Foster a positive, professional, dynamic, and innovative work environment, and champion a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Extensive experience in project and program management within the Defence industry, particularly under Fixed Price/Outcomes-Based contracting models.
In-depth understanding of Defence industry ecosystems and the ability to lead change initiatives.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve financial and performance targets.
Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring, coaching, and conducting performance appraisals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
