NECIC Finance Officer in Mansfield, Ohio

** Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Status: Exempt

Summary: This position caters to the unique needs of growing non-profit organization. The role performs fiscal operations including but not limited to: developing budgets, preparing and presenting accurate financial statements, grants management and reporting, AR/AP, and working with our external CPA on payroll, audits and tax filings. The position also oversees any new or existing fiscal sponsorship agreements in place. This position will advise the CEO and Board of Directors, and support team on fiscal effectiveness and adheres to NECIC's fiscal policies, ensuring risk management and internal controls are in place.

Roles and Responsibilities: 1.Financial Management: •Oversight of the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. •Development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

2.Budgeting: •Collaboration with department heads to create and manage the annual budget. •Monitoring budget variances and providing explanations for financial performance.

3.Accounting: •Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date accounting records. •Ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.

4.Financial Reporting: •Preparation of regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. •Presentation of financial information to executives, board members, and relevant stakeholders.

5.Grant Management: •Oversight of grant budgeting, reporting, and compliance. •Coordination with program managers to ensure proper financial management of grants.

6.Audit and Compliance: •Collaboration with external auditors during annual audits. •Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.

7.Cash Flow Management: •Monitoring and managing cash flow to support ongoing operations. •Implementing strategies to optimize cash flow and liquidity.
