DUTIES: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. seeks a Customer Service Engineer in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Perform maintenance, calibration, configuration and testing of Siemens' medical imaging systems. Prepare the corresponding reports and protocols by completing the image quality assurance procedures during preventative maintenance in the systems for customer's and Siemens' records via Siemens proprietary application mButler. Perform all required measurements by using only certified and calibrated tools such as: multimeter, X-ray dosemeter, oscilloscope, ground test meter and safety analyzer. Assure the systems work according to Siemens factory specifications. Provide clear and accurate information to the customers regarding the jobs performed on the systems. Use the service manuals released by Siemens factory to follow the instructions related to specific installation and startup of the systems. Explain the basic operation, handling and safety aspects of the systems to the customer. Install the software and hardware updates released by Siemens factory according to their related instructions. Make sure systems work according to factory specifications once updates or upgrades have been executed. Report completion of updates and upgrades to customer and Siemens for the record. Perform corresponding configuration backups before and after execution of software updates. Monitor Siemens' medical imaging systems via Smart Remote Services platform. Check on status and behavior of the cooling systems parameters for the magnetic resonance for Computed tomography. Provide remote assistance to customers and colleagues on site. Perform the troubleshooting and repair of software, hardware and mechanical issues in Siemens' medical imaging systems. Use Siemens proprietary application ETA App in corporate phone in order to properly set beginning and ending of travel times to customer's sites and back. Telecommuting permitted. Must reside within commuting distance of Rochester, NY in order to provide onsite support.

REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Employer will alternative accept an Associate's in Electronic Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience with the following: using tools such as multimeter, X-ray dosemeter, oscilloscope, ground test meter, and safety analyzer; testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment; repairing X-ray equipment; magnets and MRI; Cold Head Replacement.
