Mission:
Anticipate and manage risks and ensure the full CO System is implemented. Support and advise the business goals by providing compliance related business advise and assurance as well as anticipate risks. Ensure that the full Compliance System in the respective area of responsibility.
Position is opened for multiple geographic locations.
Your area of responsibility:
Define, implement, manage and operate a sustainable Compliance hub function for SMO Region Middle East Africa (includes SMO Countries: Turkiye, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and South Africa)
Overall Compliance Risk assessment (CRA) for the Siemens Mobility Region MEA
Acting as trusted advisor of the Mobility Middle East Africa top management and management of particular country organizations on all Compliance / Data Privacy and Export Control related topics
Ensuring implementation of guidelines and regulations and execution of the Siemens operational Compliance Processes (as set force in the SC 226 and other documents if applicable) as well as Compliance/Export Control controls. And further on, if needed, ensuring local adaptation of such policies, processes and training or materials in order to effectively addressing local specific compliance risks.
Personnel management and budget responsibility for allocated Mobility Hub members of region MEA Responsibility for Compliance strategies for Mobility’s legal entities in MEA by collaboration with respective management.
Supporting Compliance investigations and audits incl. signature of local clarification mandates – in alignment with LC CO Regulatory; and ensuring appropriate remediation measures taken, if applicable.
Release of high risk BP/ high risk 3 rd party Benefit events
Promotion of the Siemens compliance culture to the external stakeholders ("collective actions"), Universities
Ensuring proper communication of the topics related to Compliance Review Board Meetings is in place with respective LC CO SMO HQ teams.
Keeping himself/herself informed about important business issues by actively participating in management meetings and other communications related to the business operations in the assigned region and countries
Keeping himself/herself informed about developments (regulatory and enforcement) with regard to compliance in the Region and communicate with internal stakeholders and reflect the changes in training materials if appropriate
Establish and maintain Compliance Ambassador Plus /Export Control Associates and Data Privacy Advisors program within Siemens Mobility MEA countries, if and when required
Reporting Lines: functionally to Siemens Mobility Global Compliance Head, and disciplinarily to Region MEA CEO
Responsibility for Compliance training and Communication to foster integrity culture within Siemens Mobility MEA
Internal / external contacts with: Siemens Mobility BU Compliance Officers, SCM, Legal, P&O, Project Teams, Project Managers, Sales Teams/Managers, Communication, Top Management of several SMO legal entities in the MEA, CCO, IT. External Auditors, Business Partners (Consortia, Sales Agents, Customs agents etc.), administrative and enforcement authorities, NGOs, main customers, main suppliers, competition authorities, law firms, shareholders
Your qualifications - solid and appropriate
Academic degree in law, business economics or appropriate field
Demonstrated knowledge of legal, regulatory and political environments in the compliance areas; at least 15 years of experience in business - preferable in compliance related roles
Experience in risk assessment and strategic approach to risk mitigation
Proven ability to independently lead and execute all facets of challenging multidisciplinary engagements with highest integrity and ethics
Understanding of the regulatory environment, including UK Bribery Act, FCPA, fraud and abuse statues, anti-money laundering laws, data protection and privacy laws applicable to Mobility business
Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with multiple teams simultaneously and coordinating with multi-jurisdictional and multi-cultural transaction partners
Excellent and detailed research and analytical skills (needed for preventive risk management, case management, due diligences)
Ability to set up a working hub structure to assure Mobility Compliance in all Mobility legal entities assigned to SMO MEA
Deep, proven knowledge of Siemens Compliance System and Trade Compliance Rules (Export Control)
Strong ability to lead, coach and develop diverse teams
Strong communication skills; ability to manage stakeholders on CEO/CFO level
Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe
Be bold, decisive, and courageous: Thinks about the big-picture, does not hesitate to test new things
Very good command of English, basic knowledge of French as a plus
Understanding of digital biz models such as Railigent
Familiar with virtual communication by using IT tools
