The role is responsible for generating, integrating, and translating insights and analytics into growth opportunities that shape decisions and drive organizational action for the Hematology franchise within the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Oncology Business Unit with specific focus on CARVYKTI for the treatment of Multiple Myeloma.
The Associate Director, Forecasting & Integrated Analytics is responsible for integrating new business insights to uncover growth opportunities, developing a fact-based forecast, and setting financial targets. This position will serve as an internal consultant to marketing, finance, and business partners: deliver meaningful recommendations, shape decision-making, and drive organizational action. The position plays a key role in counseling the commercial senior leadership team in the development and evaluation of new and existing business strategies and tactics and as a result, shares accountability for business results. The role is also responsible for proactive insights strategy to meet business analytical needs including key performance dashboards, related analytics, and Executive / Management reports for the Oncology portfolio.
This individual must have outstanding leadership skills, a consistent track record to lead collaboration across teams, inspire without authority, and encourage risk-taking. They will have the tenacity and fortitude to pursue novel solutions and analytics that address the needs of patients. They will be personally accountable for making Johnson & Johnson Credo-based decisions and encouraging a Credo-based culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of the Multiple Myeloma forecast model & performance tracking
Integration of all information (custom, syndicated, forecasted, and modeled) into forecasts and assessments of organizational strategies & actions with the potential to drive tangible growth in revenue or profit
Identification of key metrics to measure and monitor performance through dashboards
Integrating forecast, analytics, primary research, and business intelligence developed by peers across the Strategic Insights & Analytics (SIA) team and translate into business impact
Providing input to brand strategy and business plans, new product launch plans, and life cycle management
Ensuring timely tracking of forecast accuracy and key assumptions across key data sources – prescription/sales, patient, call activity and competitive landscape to evaluate risk & opportunities
Alignment and delivery of performance dashboards and Executive Management reports for the portfolio
Training / education of stakeholders on data, dashboards and reports
Ongoing identification of process improvements across Hematology for consistency in reporting, forecasting, and deliverables.
Deep dives and targeted analytics to answer critical business questions that arise from performance results; focus on key business questions and frame business problems into analytic plans
Monitoring of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on our franchise business strategies
Cultivation of meaningful internal and external partnerships, adding value and insights for the organization
Strong partnership with Finance in forecasting and performance reporting for Demand and Net Trade Sales
Strong partnership with brand alliance in forecasting and analytics
Collaboration with key stakeholders and contractors on national and subnational reporting deliverables
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
Advanced degree preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
A minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience in business analytics, forecasting, market research, marketing, finance, and/or management consulting is required
2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in forecasting is required
Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to integrate and leverage insights and analytics that drive key decisions required
Demonstrated business/market experience to influence franchise/brand level decisions and strategies are required
General management mindset, business acumen, strategic thinking skills are required
Experience in developing comprehensive and impactful recommendations and solutions that drive key decisions are required
Ability to demonstrate the leadership courage to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/ high value projects is required

Preferred:
Experience in business analytics or finance is preferred
Experience or knowledge of pharmaceutical secondary data sources and specialty markets preferred
Demonstrated ability to direct external resources in the prioritization and completion of deliverables is preferred
