Maintenance Mechanic

Rate: $20 per hour + $3.00/hr Shift Premium ($23.00/hr)

Schedule:  Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7am-7pm & alternating Wednesdays

Role Summary: Works under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager. Provides excellent customer support by performing maintenance related activities in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

What You'll Do:

• Practice safe work habits at all times, i.e., assures machines are locked out (power source) while performing maintenance activities; machine guards are in place, etc.
• Perform a variety of maintenance activities - electrical, industrial and mechanical.
• Assure required settings and adjustments on equipment consistently produces quality products, and is done in a timely, orderly and cost efficient manner.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
• Provide training to other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures.
• React to maintenance repair requests in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Follow up on work to assure repairs and work performed is operating properly.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain housekeeping and general organization of the maintenance tool area.
• Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts when required.
• Support and adhere to internal quality and safety programs.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Must possess proficient communication skills in the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and decimal addition and subtraction.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand and twist over long periods of time.
• Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills.
• Ability to maintain diplomacy, confidentiality and tact is essential, as individual has access to high levels of cost, design and company sensitive materials.
• Must be able to work with frequently changing priorities.
