Lockheed Martin Sheet Metal Fabrication Assembly C in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: *MULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE*

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabrication and Assembler C for a position in Grand Prairie. This position will be required to perform sheet metal assembly operations that include a variety of complex parts, details, and assemblies. Layout, fabricate, assemble, install and rework a wide variety of semi-complicated parts and assemblies for experimental, production, and prototype missile systems and other assemblies. Construct simple checking and holding fixtures and make simple templates and form blocks. Assemble semi-complicated assemblies, perform riveting and hand hammering and close tolerance drilling and reaming. Operate sheet metal equipment such as brakes, rolls and router and use hand tools as required. Fabricate special equipment as required. Assist Assembler Fabricator Expert or “A” on more difficult work including rigging operations, and straightening of shaft and beams. Maintain required paperwork. Keep own work area clean and orderly. Refer any problems to expert, leadman or foreman.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have equivalent to a high school degree and one (1) to three (3) years experience.

Ability to operate brake presses, shear and install rivets and sealant

Ability to read and interpret drawings using GDAT

Basic computer knowledge

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
