Department Marketing Statement

The Special Pathogens Excellence in Clinical Treatment, Readiness, and Education (SPECTRE) Program is hiring a Program Managerto support our institutional and regional efforts to protect and serve our community in the face of emerging and special pathogens. The SPECTRE Program maintains institutional readiness for clinical treatment, provides special pathogen education both institutionally and to our surrounding region, and develops and maintains research infrastructure for rapid deployment.The Program Manager is accountable for the personnel, operational, and financial managementof the SPECTRE Program to ensure success of the program’s missions. We are looking for an innovative thinker who is enthusiastic about program building, networking, and ensuring the preparedness of our community.

Job Duties:

• Oversees and supervises all business and administrative activities relating to program operations and budget.

• Prepares written documents for internal and external stakeholders, may prepare presentations for program meetings.

• Provides leadership for the program and promotes teamwork.

• Serves as a liaison between institutional departments and local area groups to assess need and develop project plans and budgets.

• Leads/participates in collaborative interdepartmental approaches to develop and enhance an integrated system of care, as appropriate.

• Coordinates all joint operations for the program with both internal and external sources. Works with other campus departments to establish collaborative programs.

• Assists in identifying potential funding sources for the program, and prepares/monitors budgets to ensure services are provided in a cost-effective manner.

• Evaluates services to maintain compliance with contracts.

• Reviews existing contracts for renewal.

• Recommends hiring and termination of all supervised employees.

• Facilitates development of goals, performance standards, and objectives of the program.

• Works with other campus departments to establish collaborative programs.

• Responsible for identifying and evaluating the need for new equipment, supplies, communication services, and information services for all areas of the program.

• Initiates implementation plans for new projects and services within the program.

• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

• Assistsingrantwriting.

• Performsrelateddutiesasrequired.

Skills:

• Strong writing skills

• Microsoft Office Suite especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Effective communication (written and verbal)

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
