We are known for our dedication to industry-leading client service and tailored solutions. Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in one of many locations across the country. The right candidate will have experience in planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure facilities including pump stations, buildings, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure. Successful candidates would join our growing practice providing multi-discipline engineering and environmental solutions to clients in the water environment and industrial sectors. This position can be located in any of our office locations, with the option to work from home or in a hybrid environment. Key Responsibilities: You will work closely with other architects, engineers and designers as a part of the Kennedy Jenks Technical Services Team. This role will involve working in a multidisciplinary team to provide solutions for a wide variety of clients throughout the United States. Support multi-disciplinary teams on electrical engineering projects. Perform power system design and studies including preparation of load flow, short circuit, protective relaying coordination and arc-flash hazard analysis. Contribute to conceptual report writing and preparation of construction plans and specifications. Working on CAD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting) or BIM to assist in production of final design documents. Coordinate Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and associated logic diagrams with control schematics for assorted process equipment. Perform calculations for voltage drop, electrical load studies, system power flow, standby generator sizing, fault study calculations, and protective device coordination. Work on lighting and fire alarm system design. Technical services also will likely include electrical power systems for generation and distribution, cabling (cable trays and conduits) and wiring, motor control centers, communications systems, grounding and lightning protection, etc. Review Contractor's shop drawing and submittals regarding electrical work and investigating and developing engineered solutions to Contractor's Requests for Information. Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering Minimum of seven years of experience required, preferably in wastewater and industrial waste treatment facilities related projects Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to prepare complete, concise and organized engineering calculations and analyses AutoCAD and advanced 3D/BIM modeling capabilities along with the ability to produce 2D construction documents. MicroStation and AutoCAD experience preferred.
