Tarrytown Rehabilitation & Nursing Center Receptionist in Delhi, New York

New Rate (15.25/hr )

Night Shift: 4pm - 8pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure all person’s entering and exiting the facility have authorization to do so.

  • Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.

  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining records management systems.

  • Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software, as requested

  • Sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.

  • Greet visitors and determine nature and purpose of visit, direct them to specific destinations or the appropriate persons according to their needs.

  • Complete word processing and clerical assignments with review of the assignee.(Filing, typing copying)

  • Obtain, review and apply new information to Resident Room Listing, Department Notifications, and Department Directory.

  • Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.

  • Ensure no personal calls are relayed directly to personnel during his/her work hours unless it is an emergency

  • Route emergency calls appropriately.

  • Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.

  • Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.

  • Operate communication systems, such as telephone, switchboard, intercom, two-way radio, or public address.

  • Beep individuals to inform them of telephone calls, using beeper and interoffice communication equipment.

  • If the receptionist needs to leave the front desk at any time then s/he needs to have appropriate coverage in place.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Oversees employees payroll distribution to the staff.

  • Schedule reception staff and assures coverage 7 days a week.

  • Completes mailings as assigned.

  • Coordinates front desk assignments for copying, projects and packets.

  • Assists with preparation of employee orientation including copies, ids, etc.

  • Alerts facility staff to new admissions and discharges.

  • Scans check requests and bills to corporate office for processing.

  • Ensures appropriate professional appearance of Lobby, receptionist entranceway.

  • Maintains active resident elopement list.

  • Provides receipts for money deposits.

  • Coordinates and scans documents into EMR system.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be string in Excel and Word)

  • High School diploma or higher

  • Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility.

  • Experience preferred, but will train the right candidate

  • Work independently

  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word, a plus

  • Strong communicator

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Should have a good personality & be able to work well with others
