Location: Daniel Drake Center Department: Inpatient, Post Acute Care Hours: Part-Time, 20 Hours / Weekly Shift: Varies UC Health is hiring a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for The Inpatient Pharmacy Department at the Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care. Clinical staff pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, provide drug information, and supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a clinical staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager. About Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care is the regions premier provider of post-acute and transitional care services, offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services and research. Daniel Drake Center helps patients recover from catastrophic injury and illness including multi-system organ failure, complex wound care, traumatic brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury. Daniel Drake is the only hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati region. Education: B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. PharmD preferred degree. License and Certification: Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Ohio ACLS preferred. Years of Experience: Greater than or equal to a six-month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred. Preference will be given to completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency program (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests; exercise sound professional judgment; communicate effectively (orally and in writing); and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health.
