Description We are offering an opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is of a contract nature and focuses on a variety of legal support tasks within the real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Smokeball, a legal software, and should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and LexisNexis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of legal documents and contracts related to real estate transactions.

• Utilize Smokeball software to prepare workflows, create documents, and set up intake forms.

• Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist in case preparation.

• Organize and manage documents in a paper or electronic filing systems.

• Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.

• Write reports to assist lawyers in preparing for trials.

• Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts and mortgages.

• Help lawyers during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts. Requirements • Must have a bachelor's degree in legal studies or a related field

• Prior experience as a paralegal or in a similar role is preferred

• Proficiency in using LexisNexis for legal research

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Familiarity with legal software to streamline legal processes

• Experience in Real Estate law would be beneficial

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Must have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of legal terminologies and court system

• Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
