OVERVIEW:

Supporting multiple data product teams in the delivery of data product. The Data Product Change Manager will help to ensure that we are delivering products successfully and in a timely manner. They will manage the capture and tracking of data demand, support implementation of standard processes across teams, and provide senior level reporting on all data product deliveries and associated dependencies.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Data Product Change Manager you will:

Provide Change Management oversight to ensure Data Delivery commitments and obligations are delivered in alignment with appropriate priorities, timeframes and defined business benefits.

Develop a project governance framework and process to track and report on Data Delivery commitment/obligation progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure adoption of standardized reporting of progress, risk, issues, and dependencies in accordance with the project governance framework.

Develop and deploy dashboards to track progress on Data Delivery deliverables across data product life cycle.

Collaborate with Product Owners and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to provide standardized and focused delivery status updates, including S3 and S4 reporting.

Collaborate with Data Product teams to ensure timely input and review for Program Increment (PI) planning.

Provide transparency and escalation on corrective actions and decisions required to ensure successful delivery of data product commitments in response to risks and issues.

Manage the capture, tracking and maintenance of the data delivery demand ensuring data requests are documented, reviewed, tagged, and prioritized as needed.

Track and report Product delivery compliance against standard process including key control artifacts, utilization of standard tools and with appropriate evidence captured.

Ensure oversight frameworks are compliant with relevant policies and standards including metadata, data classification, data retention, privacy and access.

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years higher education and/ or work experience, including a minimum of 7 years related experience.

Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall and SDLC concepts

Knowledge of data management concepts, terminology, roles, and responsibilities, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.

Experience in development and/or implementation of data delivery and execution.

Experience in establishing or running change management reporting frameworks.

Experience with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

Formal Project Management Certification

Experience navigating and retrieving data from databases including analyzing data and drawing valid conclusions.

Experience with data management and query languages in big data environment or cloud environment.

Expert knowledge of the data life cycle.

Experience in financial industry.

Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $115,703.73 - $192,839.55 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
