We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team within the Robotic Surgical Technologies group. The Senior BP Project management specialist will play a crucial role in executing commercial projects to support our commercial organization, including product rollouts, service support, and customer success. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, from initiation to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and with minimal risk.

Day in the Life

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, and risk management strategies.

  • Coordinate project activities and deliverables across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and priorities.

  • Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identifying and mitigating any issues or risks that may arise.

Product Rollouts

  • Lead the planning and execution of commercial product launches, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure key commercial deliverables are met to achieve product launch requirements.

  • Collaborate with Cross functional teams to ensure full alignment to service strategies to implement changes in the field.

  • Provide support to the commercial teams during product rollout phases, ensuring smooth transition and customer satisfaction.

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

  • Cultivate a broad understanding of Medtronic's Surgical Robotics and Instrumentation, leveraging this knowledge to drive project success.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading projects/ programs or supporting a business with process improvements, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years listed experience

Nice to Have

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification

  • Experience with surgical robotics technology or other medical devices

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including scope, budget, timelines, and risk management

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Experience working with cross functional global teams

  • Experience in IT, commercial, or engineering projects

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
