About the role:

Software Engineer III is responsible for developing new & maintaining existing software used in Production, Calibration & Service at Sea-Bird Scientific. Other responsibilities include working with the new product development (NPD) team to design and implement software solutions for new products before launch.

This position is part of the Systems Engineering Team located in Bellevue, WA and will be on-site role.

In this role, you will:

Design, develop, maintain, and improve new and legacy software for Production, Calibration, Service, and other departments as needed.

Implement better software solutions, methodologies, monitoring, and maintenance for new products.

Design software applications and solutions to improve efficiency on the Production floor, in Calibration and in Service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Computer Science Degree plus 5 to 10 years of commensurate experience

Software development using C# and the .NET Framework

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Python

Experience with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit, Jest, Pytest or similar.

Experience with source control software such as Github, Subversion or similar

Familiarity with Structured Query Languages (SQL)

Experience with Full Stack development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP)

Experience with bug tracking software such as Jira, Trac or Bugzilla

Compensation details:

The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $125,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Bellevue, WA. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
