Payroll Lead, QA and Internal Controls

ADP is hiring a Payroll Lead, Quality Assurance and Internal Controls , supporting Global Payroll Operations for internal ADP associates and business. This key role provides payroll processing and process excellence guidance, support, and engagement across all global payroll operations regions, with a heightened engagement with the US Payroll operations. In this role, the ideal payroll professional will be able to leverage their in-depth internal and external audit payroll knowledge and experiences.

Furthermore, this role will be responsible for manage programs focused on quality assurance, audit readiness, and internal audits, all while embodying an innovation spirt in the ideation and delivery of future impacting services and solutions.

This position can be based in Augusta, GA and report directly to the Payroll Program Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

US Payroll Processing Operational Engagement (30%)

  • Actively engage with quality, processing oversight and support with US payroll Operations.

  • Support the U.S. Payroll Operations team in the daily payroll processing tasks and responsibilities, to ensure highly accurate and timely payroll results.

  • Provide hands-on active support during payroll processing and year-end activities when applicable.

  • Continually provide quality assurance and process improvement assessments to mitigate risk.

  • Assess operating KPI’s and reports for analysis and process improvement opportunities.

  • Provide operational support with regards to data, audit and reporting requests

  • Act as a key liaison between stakeholders and payroll processing team

Global Payroll Audit Readiness and Internal controls (70%)

  • In working with the Payroll Program Manager to develop, implement, and continually improve the overall global payroll quality assurance and controls strategy.

  • Develop fully automated second line of defense automated controls to verify product and service quality is performing at expected levels.

  • Internal controls assessment: Evaluating the effectiveness of existing internal controls related to payroll processes, identifying weaknesses or gaps, and making recommendations for improvement.

  • Maintain, and continually improve a global audit readiness program, which is focused on the formalization of an enhanced state of audit readiness.

  • Utilize standard six sigma / lean processing tools to drive corrective actions which address root cause of issues.

  • Oversee all Global Payroll processes excellence projects and initiatives. To include Kaizen events, SOP enhancements, documentation and implementation of Six Sigma and lean practices where applicable.

  • Take an end-to-end process approach to include all stakeholders as to maximize quality and control program impacts.

  • Develop and maintain metrics, where data interpretation leads to meaningful business impact.(KPIs)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience (US and CAN)

  • 3+ years of Internal and External Audit experience

  • 2+ years of developing and leading a quality assurance and controls framework.

  • Global payroll experience to include international payrolls.
