RESPEC Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Anchorage, Alaska

[RESPEC an employee-owned professional consulting and services company, specializes in applying engineering principle[s and innovative technologies to solve our clients most challenging problems.[We are seeking an Electrical EIT to join our full-service engineering team! We design innovative world-class projects utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. This is a hands-on design position with the Anchorage and Matsu Region Facilities Market Sectors. Your primary role will include electrical design for facilities supporting new construction and renovations in collaboration with architects, civil, structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineers. Duties may also include construction inspection of facility and utility or transportation projects.   • Assist Engineers in calculations.
  • Assist Engineers in code review and research.
  • Assist Engineers in placing devices in Drawings and circuiting.
  • Assist Engineers in design and Construction Administration (CA).

[Qualifications:]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, or ability to pass the exam within 6 months.
  • Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Motivated, energetic, and driven to take on new tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to learn and advance in technical skills and understanding.

Additional Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Revit experience.
  • SKM, Elum Tools, or other Electrical software experience.
  • Experience with construction.
  • Cold region/Alaska experience.
  • Experience with preparing plans, specifications, and design calculations.

Work Schedule:

This is a regular full-time position with benefits. The employee will work 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday) from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Salary will depend on several factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, and experience.
